Welcome to the BESPOKE SERVICE page of MGC Designs.

I offer a service of producing either ‘one off’ pieces of pottery or multiples of the same design.

Once I have worked out an idea of what you would like from your requirements and you are happy with it, then I set about the task of making a plaster mould in order to replicate the piece, thus enabling me to recreate as many as you require, within reason.  (The number of pieces of the same design would be open for discussion)

Each piece will bear it’s very own maker’s marks, consisting of it’s own unique number for that particular design,  the year of manufacture together with my own mark.  For example, if you  required 5 pieces of the same design, then they would be numbered 1,  2,  3,  4 and 5 , plus the date and maker’s mark.  An example of this is as follows:

Once the piece has been cast, additional detail such as a date of an event,  an individual’s  name or club can also be stamped into it, in order to save further costs of engraving. This may be useful if a number of similar items are being awarded as sporting prizes. Again an example of this is as follows:

I do not have a fixed price list for the items I produce as each one of them is unique and their specifications are all different. For a rough guide as to prices please see the section titled ‘ Product Specification’.

All artwork remains the property of ‘MGC Designs’ and no charge is made for this part of the service. You only pay for the finished piece or pieces plus packing & shipping costs.
