Engraved and relief detail Tiles
I am currently working on a number of different Tiles using either engraved stencil work or inlaid under glazes and glass. A couple of examples of these are shown below.
This one is made up of 4 tiles set into an oak frame.
The top 3 tiles are approx 4 inches (10 cms) square apiece, depicting a stained glass window design. The bottom tile is approx 2 by 4 inches (% by 10 cms approx) bearing the details of who the piece is being presented to.
The over all size is approx 6 by 16 inches
(15 by 40 cms approx)
This tile is in one piece measuring approx 2 by 9 inches (5 by 23 cms approx) and is attached to a door finger plate to give it some stability and strength before being attached to the door or wall.
A stencil was used to create the detailed lettering which was then inlaid with colour and over glazed. The final touch of Gold was then applied.
I am also currently working on a number of ideas for some wall and table lights, as well as
some individual larger wall murals. As soon as I have managed to create the desired effect
and design I shall add them to the New Designs section of this site.
